It has been confirmed. Fleet Launch Weekend will take place October 10th to 13th 2025. Join us for a weekend of activities as we celebrate the beginning of Lobster Season!
The perfect way to spend Thanksgiving Weekend. Come to Alma to enjoy all the activities we have planned for Fleet Launch Weekend 2025. Then wish the fishermen well and celebrate them as they head off to start the lobster fishing season early hours of Tuesday October 14th.
For the third year, our activities are being held in conjunction with The Rising Tide Trails and Tunes Festival. An exciting week-long music festival spanning from Fundy Albert to St. Martins.
While many activities are free, tickets for other events can be purchased. A link to purchase tickets will be available soon.
Friday, October 10
7 PM to 9 PM: Join us for a fun night of Bingo! – Alma Activity Centre, 8 School St. Alma.
Saturday, October 11
The Kids Zone – Location and times TBA
Lobster Touch Tank, Face Painter, Crafts, Mr. Mark’s Children’s entertainer.
8 PM to 11 PM: Kitchen Party at the Activity Centre on School Street
Gather your fiddles, guitars, and singing voices; it’s time for our annual Fleet Launch Kitchen Party!
This year, we are keeping it as traditional as it gets.
We’ll kick things off with live music from Paul Toner, Ian Duncan, Tim Isaac and Dave Muir! and that’s where you come in! Got a song you love to sing? Want to clap along, tap your toes, or bang the spoons to a good old Atlantic favorite? This party is all about jumping in and making music together.
Don’t worry if you didn’t bring an instrument, we’ll have some small music makers on the tables so everyone can contribute!
Worked up an appetite after your kitchen party debut?! We’ll have a table full of finger foods and sandwiches to keep you going through the night, along with a cash bar to wet your whistle.
So mark your calendar and come ready to raise the roof with us on Saturday, October 11th at 7p.m. We can’t wait to stomp the floorboards with you!

Sunday, October 12
8 AM to 11 AM: Graduation Breakfast at the Activity Centre
Join the 2025 graduating class from Caledonia High for a pay-by-donation breakfast to include Pancakes, Sausage, Coffee, and Juice. All proceeds collected will help the students pay for their spring Prom
2 PM to 4 PM: High Tea by the High Sea
Join us for High Tea on Sunday afternoon in the fresh air as you enjoy views of The Bay of Fundy.

Sip, Paint & Shine Under the Stars with Jenn, artistic founder of Foxglove & Fern Creative !
As part of Alma’s Fleet Launch Celebration, join us at the Buddha Bear Coffee Roaster & Holy Whale Brewing Co. for a special Paint & Sip evening inspired by the night sky. Local artist Jennifer Hawkins Forbes will guide you in creating a whimsical celestial canvas sparkling constellations, glowing moons, and galaxies blooming across the dark.
Here in the heart of Fundy National Park’s Dark Sky Preserve, the heavens shine brighter than almost anywhere else. With a beverage in hand and brushes at the ready, you’ll celebrate Alma’s place beneath the cosmos while raising a toast to dark sky preservation, local artistry, and the joy of painting under infinite possibility.
No painting experience needed as Jenn will walk you through the painting step by step.
$45 includes all art supplies and instructions so you can take home your own piece of the universe!

If you attend, be sure to watch from a safe distance, letting the fisher folk do their work.
The exact date and time of the launch is dependent on a decision by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.

Kids Colouring Contest
Prior to Fleet Launch weekend drawings for a colouring contest will be delivered to schools in the area. Entries can be submitted by sending a photo or dropping your coloured drawing off at the Kids Zone during the weekend. Winners will be announced on Sunday evening.
