Fleet Launch Activities will take place Friday October 9th to Wednesday October 14th 2026. Join us for a weekend of activities as we celebrate the beginning of Lobster Season!
The perfect way to spend Thanksgiving Weekend. Come to Alma to enjoy all the activities we have planned for Fleet Launch Weekend 2026. Then wish the fishermen well and celebrate them as they head off to start the lobster fishing season early hours of Wednesday October 14th.
For the third year, our activities are being held in conjunction with The Rising Tide Trails and Tunes Festival. An exciting week-long music festival spanning from Fundy Albert to St. Martins.
All Weekend
Anchored in History – Historical Photo Display at the Alma Gazebo throughout Fleet Launch
Friday, October 9
7 PM to 9 PM – Bingo – Alma Activity Centre, 8 School St. Alma
Saturday, October 10 – All Saturday Activites are at the Alma Activity Centre, 8 School St. Alma
11:00am – 1:00pm The Kids Zone – crafts, marine activities, face painting and more.
1:00pm – Cake Walk
3:00pm – High Tea (by donation)
Evening – TBD
Reel in the Talent Night – local musicians and performers (by donation)

Morning – Graduation Breakfast at the Activity Centre
1:00pm – Molly Kool Award – hosted by Friends of Fundy at the Molly Kool Centre
9:00pm – Karaoke at Tipsy Tails Restaurant

Lobster Dip Plunge – Hosted by Fundy Blades

7:30pm – Trivia at the Holy Whale
Wednesday, October 14 in the very early hours

Tentative Schedule is between 12:00am and 3:00am
The exact date and time of the launch is dependent on a decision by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
