While the Fleet Launch is the focus of the weekend, there will be lots more to do for visitors and locals. Organizers are taking great care to incorporate events that will appeal to both adults and children during the days surrounding the launch. Most are free, although some require a small fee to cover costs.
Restaurants will be planning special menus for the event as well as activities and launch-themed drink specials. As part of the festival, there will be music, food, children’s events, a mosaic workshop, Celtic dancing, and even a costumed Lobster Plunge into the Bay for charity. All the events will be outlined on this website under “Weekend Schedule” in the future. Keep checking back.
Then, of course, there will be lots of everyday activities in both Fundy National Park and the Village of Alma in which visitors can partake. In the park, visitors can hike the trails, take a bike ride, watch for wildlife, or take part in other activities. There’s never a dearth of things to do in the area!
We hope to see you in Alma in October for this very special celebration!
